Mountains and Forest

Ink sketch based on a pencil sketch of a picture I took of the westernmost edge of the Catskill Range from the Shawangunk Ridge in New York State in 2006.   Always something to sketch when visiting the SR.  I drew the vegetation in a more formulaic way and the clouds more literally…usually do it the other way round.  Looks good here, since the clouds are such a big feature.

6 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches, pen and ink on paper over pencil, from 2006. Print is a matted, mounted,  signed 600 dpi print on white acid-free cardstock with half-inch borders, in a limited run of fifty.  I only use permanent, pigment-based inks which meet the ISO 11798 fade-resistance standard.
