Done from life over several days in weather so hot I was worried about my sweat permanently warping the paper. This huge, healthy oak was in the middle of a field just wide enough for me to get this view of it, if not more. About six storeys high, with a trunk thick enough to suggest it was at least two hundred years old.
9 x 10 15/16 inches, pencil on paper, from 2006. Print is a matted, mounted, signed 600 dpi print on white acid-free cardstock with half-inch borders, in a limited run of fifty. I only use permanent, pigment-based HP inks which meet the ISO 11798 fade-resistance standard.
